SIIRD approves $3m for six new Israel-Singapore projects
The projects are in artificial intelligence, energy-saving outdoor lighting, social network systems, smart home, improved TV viewing experience, and RFID tracking of containers at sea.
Singapore-Israel Industrial R&D Foundation (SIIRD) has approved $3 million a year for six new joint projects by Singapore and Israeli companies. The projects' aggregate budgets are $8 million, with the participating companies providing the balance.
The projects are as follows:
- AIseek Ltd. of Israel and Playware Studios Asia of Singapore, which has developed MAT computer games, will develop artificial intelligence hardware to speed up multi-computer online games.
- Menolinx Systems Ltd. of Israel and CNA Group Ltd. of Singapore will jointly develop an energy saving central control system for outdoor lighting.
- Traffix Systems Ltd. of Israel and Now Media pte Ltd. of Singapore will jointly develop a system to improve a quality of experience system for television viewing by using a central server to connect home set-top boxes.
- Homenet.com Ltd. of Israel and Cytech Technology pte Ltd. of Singapore will jointly develop an intercom-based smart home system.
- Media Layers Ltd. of Israel and mBit of Singapore will jointly develop an internet and cellular social network and content platform. This is the first commercial project of its kind in the world that will include real-time video advertising on social networks combined with IMS technology capability.
- Starcom GPS Systems Ltd. of Israel and GlobalTrax pte Ltd. of Singapore will jointly develop a radio frequency ID (RFID) system for monitoring containers at sea. The project will include a beta site at sea.
