The greatest complaint about Intrusion Detection systems is that they generate huge amounts of data that can't easily be monitored. Either these systems give too many false positives or require too much expert technical support to make them useful. Reviewing the huge daily IDS logs on a constant basis is both time consuming and a tedious post mortem analysis.

Recent trends to activate the detection into prevention, actively blocking malicious activity, have even enhanced the problems. Intrusion prevention is a subset of intrusion detection because you must be able to detect before you can prevent.
Current Intrusion Detection & Prevention systems raise significant concerns with enterprise-wide deployments such as false positive detection, excessive alerts and self inflicted denial of service. The Intrusion Detection & Prevention market is growing at a CAGR of 16% reaching over a Billion $ US.

BeeFence supports most deployed detection & prevention systems. The process is performed transparently, while assuring quality of service is maintained. The technology is protected by two patents (pending).

Management Team
Joseph Gal - Chairman of the Board: A seasoned executive with over 30 years of technical and management leadership in the communications infrastructure industry. He served as Director of Operations at Cisco Systems Europe (NASDAQ:CSCO). Prior he was Operations Director for South Europe at LanOptics (NASDAQ:LNOP) and held significant management positions in leading companies such as DEC and IBM. Joseph holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Applied Math from the Technion and an MBA for senior managers from IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland.

Asaf Greiner - CEO Previously co-founded Aduva, a leading provider of automated management solutions for Linux, and served there as COO and VP of Business Development EMEA. Before that, Asaf served as a senior project manager at Comsec (TASE: CMSC), a leading information-security consulting group. Asaf started his career as an information-security specialist in the Israeli Air Force. He holds an MBA from IDC and a BA in Economics from the Hebrew University.
