AttoSense, a Lab-One portfolio company, reports its first sale of cellular sensors for monitoring the Cellcom mobile network.
Four months after AttoSense entered the Lab-One incubator in Tel Aviv, the company has completed its first major sale to Cellcom, the largest cell phone operator in Israel. Cellcom is incorporating the AttoSense novel network monitoring solutions in its network components at peripheral sites requiring monitoring.
AttoSense's monitoring products discover problems in the cellular network in real time. Monitoring during real time and handling problems as they arise prevent loss of income for the cellular operators. One of the advantages of the system is the ability of the operator to monitor a business or customer site at the local level, diagnose the problem, and suggest an appropriate solution. This level of service leads to customer satisfaction, whether the use of the product is within the building or outside, for the purposes of phone calls, data transmission, or any other cellular application. AttoSense has chalked up significant achievements in a short time due to the immediate need for its products and unique technology. The company's products are currently undergoing trials at a number of leading cellular operators in Europe. In addition, the company is in advanced stages of negotiations towards collaboration with leading telecom equipment suppliers. Erez Mutzafi, the founder and general manager of AttoSense, said, "The world market for the company's products is enormous and growing due to the operators' readiness to increase income by providing the best possible Quality of Service (QoS). Most new cellular applications such as Video on Demand and internet games are based on a wireless infrastructure within buildings, which currently do not answer the demands of the customers' QoS." Additional AttoSense products currently in the specification stages are being planned together with AttoSense customers in Israel and overseas. |
